What is your favorite wedding movie? My Best Friends Wedding

How did you and your husband meet? We worked at the same hospital.

How did he propose? Our first trip together was a week in New York with my sister and brother in law. We absolutely love the city. He planned a spur of the moment trip to NY. I didn’t think much of it since we go every year. The weekend was almost over and we were taking one last walk. We were standing at a corner known as the  “The Crossroads of the world” and he spun me around and pulled the ring out of his pocket.

How did you choose the rings? He completely picked out the rings. He worked with a jeweler for months. He knew exactly what he wanted and wouldn’t settle for any thing else.

Tell us about “the” dress. Who was with you when you found it? Peter’s mother came in for the weekend and before I could get her home from the airport she was ready to look at wedding dresses. The next day we went out and was visiting bridal shops. When I tried the dress on we both just knew that it was the one.

What was the most anticipated moment of your wedding day? Seeing Peter’s face when he saw me for the first time that day.

What were you thinking as you walked down the aisle? How very lucky I was to have Peter in my life.

What was your favorite wedding moment? Our first kiss!

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding? None of it. It made me a nervous wreck.

What traditions did you follow? Every one I could possible do.

What was your first dance song?  Sister Hazel “ This Kind of Love”

How did you choose your colors? We chose our favorite colors.

What was the most important thing to you about your wedding? Sharing that special day with our family and friends.

What flavor was your cake? We had  A LOT of cakes. Actually we had a cake table with assorted flavors.

Why did you choose the facility you chose for your wedding and/or reception? It was pouring down rain and the beach was flooded the first day we saw it. But, when I looked at Peter and ask him what he was looking for he said “This”  and we just knew it was perfect. Our wedding day was Derby Day and I am from Louisville Ky ; what a better place than a horse farm for a wedding.

What was your favorite moment your photographer captured and why? My son giving me a kiss just before walking down the isle. What the photographer didn’t know was that my son whispered to me at that moment how proud of me he was and how beautiful I looked and that he loved me.

What are you most looking forward to about being Mr. & Mrs.? Everyday being with my best friend.
