People tell me quite often, “I bet you have lots of great pictures of your children.” Well in my opinion I have great pictures of my kids, but the “lots” part could be a stretch. Since photography is my job a lot of times my own family gets put to the side. The saying “The cobbler’s children have no shoes” is very true at my house. The one thing that I have been consistent about is photographing my kids every Easter. So every spring when Easter rolls around, it’s a tradition to make our kids portraits to compare them to the past years.
This year’s photos included Silas’ first black eye. Yup, you heard me right. While we where shopping for clothes he was fighting the evil Darth Vader and ran into a chair. I could have photoshopped it out, but I that’s not how things were. Boys get bumps and bruises, so I decided to incorporate it with his outfit.
