As many of my long time readers know, my work is very diverse. Not only do I photograph weddings, but I also do a lot of editorial and commercial photography. This is something that I don’t share a lot of because I have to wait until it is published. By the time that happens, usually I’ve forgotten about that assignment and went to several more.
Well, it was recently brought to my attention that an assignment I photographed sixteen months ago was finally published. Even though I shot it over a year ago, it’s not one that is easily forgotten. I had the privilege of photographing Paula Pell while she was speaking at The Fourth Annual Women and Philanthropy Symposium at the University of Tennessee. After she finished speaking, I was able to make a few portraits of her as we talked about everything from twitter to family and pets. She was hilarious, very personable and did anything I asked. I couldn’t ask for a better person to get to know and photograph.
Here is how the story ran in the Tennessee Alumnus magazine. If you would like to read Chandra’s great article about Paula, click on the pages with text.
